Courses after 12th Arts stream


1. Bachelor of Arts

Bachelor of Arts is the most common courses for arts students. The duration of this course is 3 years. There are several B.A. courses are available such as B.A. Psychology, B.A. History, B.A. Archaeology, B.A. Economics, B.A. Journalism and Mass Communication, B.A. English, B.A. Hindi, B.A. Malayalam, B.A. in other languages (state wise), B.A. Sociology, B.A. Politics, B.A. Geography, B.A. Indian Culture, B.A. Social Work etc.

2. Management – BBA, BBM, BMS

Management is another very important course available after 12th for Art’s stream students. Any one who has completed 10+2 can opt for management courses such as BBA, BBM, BMS.

BBA, BBM and BMS are undergraduate degrees in management which has numerous branches of management. Some of the most common courses are Human Resource management i.e. HRM, Retail Management, Finance Management, Sales and Marketing Management, Logistics, Operations and Supply Chain Management, etc.

All three courses are of 3 years duration.

3. B.F.A. – Bachelor of Fine Arts

B.F.A or Bachelor of Fine Arts is very similar to B.A. where you are more focused on visual forms of arts. For example, some of the areas within this course are- Painting, Sculpting, Music, Dance, Photography etc. According to me, this course suits students who are into the creative side of things!

4. B.H.M – Bachelor of Hotel Management

Bachelor of Hotel Management is an undergraduate course. The main focus of this course is hospitality which is always used in Hotels and other such places. For admission in B.H.M student need to complete 10+2 in any stream. The duration of this course is 3/4 Years depending on the college.

5. B.E.M.– Bachelor of Event Management

Bachelor of Event Management is a 3 to 4 Years course. The course mainly focus on hospitality and management. Student who seek to build their career in management can opt for Bachelor of Event Management.

The course is a mixture of theory and skill training, covering many courses such as:

  • Principles of hospitality management
  • Event marketing and sales
  • Catering management
  • Legal issues in the hospitality industry
  • Accounting in event management
  • Interpersonal skills and professionalism

6. Law Courses – B.A.+L.L.B

Arts students can also opt for law courses and B.A. L.L.B is the best option for them. This course is a duration of 5 Years.

The course covers skills such as image building, different styles of writing, editing and working with layout software, audio-video editing techniques are also covered.

The course eligibility is 10+2 with good English Communication.

8. B.F.D.– Bachelor of Fashion Designing.

Bachelor of Fashion Designing is a 4 Years duration course. It’s an undergraduate Fashion Designing course where student will learn the art of using fabric, colors, ornaments in fashion items like clothes, jewelry etc. The eligibility of this course is 10+2 with 50% marks.
